Imagine a wear simulator that can be used for the wear testing of hip, knee and spinal implants up to and beyond their respective ISO standards; that can deliver micro-separation and deep knee bending; that can be used for the wear testing of other joints such as ankles, fingers, shoulders, etc; and that can run multiple demand profiles to simulate a range of activities such as stair climbing, sitting down/standing up, stumbling, stop-dwell-start, etc.
The new Prosim Single Station Universal Joint Wear Simulator is able to do all this and more. Fully electromechanical with each of the six individual axes driven and controlled, by its own drive and motor. The simulator provides a fast and flexible solution for the testing of prototype designs, enabling the operator to subject the test sample to both ISO and adverse wear testing.
